A jazzed-up version of well-known folk song, 'Turkey in the Straw' for String Orchestra (with optional Violin 3 substitute for Viola part).

Note: This arrangement is based on the American folk tune known as ‘Turkey in the Straw’, which is believed to be a contrafactum of Irish folk song 'The Old Rose Tree'. Some interpretations of this song are considered disparaging to African Americans. In this arrangement, I have sought only to revitalise a familiar folk melody, employing none of the lyrical content, and with no intent whatsoever to cause offence to any party.
